Awakening Church exists to make wholehearted disciples who receive God’s love, grow in God’s love, and give God’s love through the gospel of Jesus.
Our Core Values
Beauty
We worship a God of beauty who has a made a beautiful world. His beauty has the power to heal and restore the brokenness in our lives. As His redeemed image-bearers, we are called to enjoy His beauty and reflect His beauty to the world around us.
Grace
We cannot earn God’s love and approval. Broken and sinful, we trust in a perfect Savior who made a way for us to have a relationship with our Holy God. This message of grace gives rest to perfectionists and performers and empowers us to become a gracious presence towards others.
Intimacy with God
The greatest commandment of Scripture is to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength. We pursue deep intimacy with God through a life of vibrant worship and regular prayer, both individually and corporately.
Healthy Relationships
It has been said that you can’t have spiritual health without emotional health. Emotional maturity, self-awareness, and healthy relationships are integral to true spiritual flourishing. We recognize the significance of our need for healthy relationships and deep Christian community.
Spiritual Formation
We long to become transformed, wholehearted, and fully alive disciples of Jesus. Spiritual formation is the process of learning how to reflect the goodness of Jesus through our unique personality and story for the blessing of others. Through the practices and habits of our faith, we are formed and shaped to become the people God made us to be.
Soul Care
In each of our life-stories, we carry wounds, pain, sin, brokenness, and fragmentation. The deep places of our souls need care, healing, and restoration in Christ. Compassionate listening and care for the whole person are encouraged within our community.
Missions
God loves people from all the different tribes and nations and places in our world. We seek to spread the gospel and show His love locally and internationally. Supporting church planting ministries is a key part of our mission.
